What Mental does
A ten-second check-in starts with 49 named feelings arranged by energy and pleasantness. People can add optional context by typing or speaking, revisit moments as a visual journal, and notice patterns over time.
Ask Mental in Mental Pro is a conversation, by voice or text, about a situation, a decision, or a disagreement. When it reaches a conclusion worth keeping, Mental can save it as a keepsake. Ask Mental replaced Mirror in version 2.3.
Memory in Mental Pro is a layer over the moments people choose to record. It can carry details forward across the journal; people can trace a memory to its source check-in, correct it, or ask Mental to forget it.
The interactive emotion grid explains the vocabulary and offers reusable files. The mood-tracking guide teaches the method without requiring the app.
Privacy and accessibility notes
Journal entries are kept on the user's device and synced through the user's private iCloud. Product analytics use a separate path, are on by default, and can be disabled; optional AI and Apple Health use separate permissions. The App Store listing declares VoiceOver, Dark Interface, and Reduced Motion support. External real-device VoiceOver and low-vision testing is still pending, so Mental does not claim independent accessibility verification.
